Old Fashioned Egg Custard Pie

This is the old Southern standby. So nice and sweet and comforting. Very simple to make too. Serves 8.

4 eggs, beaten
2 cups evaporated milk
1/2 cup water
1.5 cup sugar
dash of cinnamon
1 tbsp butter
1 9-inch pie shell

Preheat oven to 375F.

Make your pie shell, like so.

Nuke butter in the microwave for about 10 seconds to melt. Mix the butter, eggs, milk, water, sugar and cinnamon all together well, and pour into the pie shell.

Bake for about 30 minutes till filling is set. Dust with a little bit of cinnamon on top if you wish. Let cool completely before slicing and serving.

Have a slice! It's only 7 points per!
